Building God's Kingdom in East Africa
 through Community Health Evangelism

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

The goal of our ministry is to develop, empower, and release national believers to reach their own people with the love of Jesus Christ and His transforming power through a ministry that meets both physical and spiritual needs.

Here's what we actually do--
We train nationals in the development strategy of Community Health Evangelism (CHE). We then work together with those who have been trained to initiate their community development program in their village through modeling and helping them to develop sustainable solutions to problems that they have identified within their community. We then help those who have been trained to multiply themselves by taking what they have learned to surrounding villages. We also train and mentor churches from the U.S. who desire to initiate sustainable Christian community development programs in partnership with  national organizations or churches.

Who we work with--
For the past two years, our family has been living and working in Arusha, Tanzania with LifeWind International. In September of 2008, we were accepted by ReachGlobal as long-term missionaries. We are preparing to return to Tanzania spring of 2009. We will be part of an equipping team in Dar es Salaam working through ReachGlobal to train national leaders and pastors while continuing the work we started in our first term. One of the most exciting aspects of our ministry has been partnering with the Maasai organization, MAPED (Maasai Pastoralists for Evangelism and Development). This group of Maasai followers of Jesus has a tremendous passion to see their people transformed by the hope they, themselves, have found in Christ. They desire to maintain
their cultural identity and ways of life that are glorifying to God, and discard those ways that are destructive and dishonoring to God.
